Ever asked or thought of the best number in the world?
According to Dr. Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) of The Big Bang Theory, the best number is 73. Why?
- 73 is the 21st prime number. 21 is the product of 7 and 3.
- Its mirror 37 is the 12th.
- In binary, 73 is a palindrome, a word, phrase of sequence of units that can be read in either direction. In binary code, 73 is 1001001 which if read backwards is also 1001001.
Dr. Koothrapali (Kunal Nayyar), on the other hand, thinks that the best number 5318008. Why? If you type in 5318008 in a calculator and read it upside-down, it spells “BOOBIES.”

Haha, yeah I watched that episode too! A really fun team of geeks squeezing the intellectual fun within us with each and every episode.
My favorite numbers are any combination of numbers that make up the total of 21. No reason why :)
@Alvinontherocks: I really love this episode. 21? Legal drinking age. Blackjack or poker? (I’m not sure.). That’s all I can think of the number 21.
I love 6.
