Behind the Scene: Spirited Away

It’s common knowledge that Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi) is produced by Ghibli Studios. I love this animated movie as it moves between the boundary of fantasy and reality.  The animation is superb, it’s Ghibli! And the story is otherworldly.

I found this video in YouTube which shows the “Behind the Scenes” and the Reel Deal of Spirited away. You’ll notice how hands-on and imaginative Miyazaki is when he puts down notes and describes how the character should be design and how they should act. I love the way he says the “acckkkthh..” when describing a snake falling from a tree. And that’s just some few seconds of the whole movie. Imagine how long and many meetings they had to go through to complete this beautiful movie.

Enough with the blabbers. I hope you enjoy watching the following vids.
