I was about to check for new updates of some manga at www.onemanga.com, when a pop-up window greeted me. It said, “There is an end to everything, to good thing as well.”
The admins of the popular manga website has decided to remove all manga contents of OneManga and 1000Manga (licensed or not) due to tighter restrictions pushed by manga publishers. OneManga, however, asked its community members to continue their activity in the forum.
OneManga is the only manga viewing website to become part of the top 100 most visited site in the Philippines at No. 31 and is ranked No. 348 in the world. Moments after I read the announcement, I checked similar websites. www.mangavolume.com, www.mangastream.com, www.inaruto.net and www.mangahut.com. MangaHut’s website is completely gone.
Manga publishers have always lagged behind scanlation group’s releases this is why online manga and scanlation groups will never vanish. I’m sure of it. As long as there’s internet and the need to be updated, there will be ways.

Mourning.. yet hoping for revival.. or rebirth.
Condolences..
Agreed. Publishers have always lagged behind. It’s just bad “reactionary business”.
I actually wrote about this. You can read it at: http://www.mangatherapy.com/post/846045104/end-of-onemanga
The wrath of many fans is upon us.
@Manga Therapy: Great article and well-researched.
They started with a giant like One Manga but I don’t they can bully smaller manga viewing sites.
One Manga was one of the reason why I always come online, and I unjoined it.
One Manga changed my life and I would’t became a Manga fun if it wasn’t for One Manga.
It was easy to use, older manges are also added, new chapters are mostly on time and new manges are added even there are all ready a lot. And it’s for free for everyone to read.
It was a pleaser, and hopefully One Manga will came back no matter what thy say or do.
