Chapter 108 of Hiromu Arakawa’s victorian alchemist-inspired manga Full Metal Alchemist marks the end of the series. The chapter titled Journey’s End celebrates the victory of brother Alphonse and Edward Elric and the completion of there long journey to finding a way to bring back Alphonse’s body.
Full Metal Alchemist (Hagane No Renkinjutsushi) was first published in August of 2001. Following the manga’s popularity, Studio Bones release a 51-episode anime adaptation loosely base on the manga. Another anime adaptation, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, was released last April 2009 which follows the original plot of the manga.
Full Metal Alchemist is one of my favorite manga titles. It’s an action-packed adventure series revolving around the principle of equivalent exchange, similar to Chemistry’s Law of Conservation of Mass.
I’ll be waiting for Hiromu Arakawa’s new work.
