The 4th Naruto Shippuden movie is set for its Japanese premier at the end of this month, July 31. I was waiting for Chapter 502 to come out, browsing through different manga websites and community, then I saw a post about the new movie. When I first saw the poster, I was excited by the presence of Naruto’s father, Minato. I figured it should, in one way or another, show a connection between father and son. My first guess was that they’ll have a common enemy defeated by Minato and now targeting Naruto. Opps.Fortunately, I was wrong. It was better!
Here’s the synopsis posted on www.animenewsnetwork.com.
Assigned on a mission to capture Mukade, a missing-nin, Naruto Uzumaki sets out for the once glorious historic ruins of “Ouran”, where he pursues and corners the rogue ninja. Mukade’s goal is revealed to be a dormant leyline within the ruins; he unleashes the power of the leyline, causing a light to envelop Naruto, sending him into the past, 20 years before the series began. When Naruto awakens, he comes into contact with the Fourth Hokage, His father, Minato Namikaze.
Could it be more exciting? We’ll be seeing father and son working together. We may even get a glimpse of Naruto’s mother, Kushina. The movie is directed by Masahiko Murata (Lupin: Dead or Alive, Gilgamesh, Naruto: Hi no Ishi o Tsugumono).
