Core games (Skyrim, Diablo 3, CoD, etc.) fill the headline in most gaming blogs. These games have hardcore following that even the smallest of details get scattered in the net.
At the other end of the spectrum are the ultra-simple, possibly forgettable, casual free online games that you end up playing when you’re really bored. Games like Doodle God 2, Canabalt, Paladog, 2 Many Bugs, Barbie Dressup, and more than 50, 000 more! This type of game exists in almost all platform imaginable (desktop, smart & dumb phones, tablets, tv sets, DVD players, etc.) I think almost any device that has a display and some sort of input control has a game installed in it.
Industry-wise, the casual games had revenues of $ 6 Billion. That’s a lot! It’s no wonder why big players like EA have started producing their own games target to casual players.

I am a fan of casual browser-based games powered by Flash, HTML5, Shockwave and Unity3D. I’ve played a lot and wasted tens (possibly more than a hundred) of hours of productivity trying to catch apples falling from the sky, matching jewels and chucking aliens into space! They’re fun, accessible, and above all FREE!
There are a lot of websites where you can find these free games. There’s Kongregate, Y8, Miniclip, Armor Games, Addicting Games and 150,000 more! But my favorite so far is Playnook Online Games. It’s ad-free, has clean design and with games properly organized into relevant categories. Check it out!
What are some of my favorite games?
